Our Vision

Our vision is to support local families by providing mothers, family members and carers a place where they can have a cup of coffee, relax and enjoy the company of friends and family in a fun and casual atmostphere. Where children can play safely and interact with each other, encouraging development through regular weekly activities.

 

Our Proposal

To open a café and gift shop based on the concept of being truly family friendly. Our shop will include a safe and fun place for children to play, which will enable carers to watch their children, relax have coffee and lunch, buy gifts and second hand children?s goods. Our target market is all those who look after children under the age of 6, from parents and carers to grandparents.

 

The proposed location of The Coffee Apple is in the Ringwood East shopping strip within walking distance to Ringwood Lake & Eastland, together with the surrounding childcare facilities of Ringwood Childcare, Knaith Road Childcare, Each Childcare, Ringwood East Childcare and schools of Eastwood Primary School, Tintern Anglican Girls Grammar & Tinternavale Primary School. And the proposed new Ringwood East Maternal Health Centre.

 

Our initial goal is to serve 60 customers per day with 3 sittings being breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea.

We envisage that a signaficant proportion of the customers will be repreat customers and it is anticipated that a majority of potentional customers will learn of The Coffee Apple via word of mouth, printed advertising and facebook.

Within the shop there will be an information area set aside to facilite the exchange of information within the local community. This area will cover a variety of information ranging from local activites, employment and items for sale to education, entertainment and information from our sponsors.

The business also envisages running weekly activities for mothers (and carer?s) in the Ringwood East area including; mothers groups, play groups, preschool activities, craft classes, childrens birthday parties, pamper bar, and evening sessions. We are looking to further extend the range of activites once the shop has been in operation for 12 ? 18 months.

 

The shop will be open 5 days per week from 9-30am ? 3pm with a vision to open 6 days (and longer hours including evenings as required) depending on growth and as need arises.

 

The Café and Play space will initially have a play area specifically designed for children in the 0-5 year age group. Parents or carers will at all times be responsible for their child?s supervision during their visit to our shop.

 

Our vision is to provide a place where the local community can bring children to a relaxing environment to enjoy a cuppa, chat with friends and unwind with the family.
